Did you know that your body is responding to every single thought that you have? 

A 1992 study published in the Journal of Neurophysics showed that people who simply thought about exercising a finger on their left hand every day showed a 22% increase in strength using ONLY mental imagery.  The group that actually exercised the finger showed a 30% increase in strength.[1]

Just let that sink in for a minute. 

Every thought has a biochemical signature.  Now consider that every single thought you have is impacting YOUR body in real time.  Your cells are expressing that thought. 

We know that chronic stress has a tremendously detrimental effect on the body, producing all sorts of chronic illnesses that are linked to chronic inflammation.  But what if all that inflammation had its source in inflamed thoughts and emotions?   When you become angry with the driver who just cut you off, that anger is being coded into neurotransmitters and stress hormones that are flooding your body.  So it’s fair to say that when you are sad, every cell in your body is sad.  By the same token, when you deliberately think thoughts of gratitude, peace, and general happiness, your cells are being bathed in serotonin, oxytocin, and dopamine.  There is a body of evidence in the scientific literature showing that daily meditation practices can literally recode your DNA, boost your immune response, and reduce systemic inflammation.
